Our schedule shows Cabo 11am to 7pm.... don't have FTTF and need to get off early as possible. A few years ago, they had us meet in the lounge and handed out tender stickers. Do you recall if that was the same process and approx what time? Do you happen to have the Fun Times that yo might email me? my email is debra.rye@verizon.net....thanks in advance. I believe FTTF only really matters embarking and disembarking in Long Beach. You were questioning about Cabo right? If you have a shore excursion scheduled through Carnival I believe you will meet in Lounge that should be printed with your shore excursion tickets. They distribute shore excursion tickets at beginning of cruise in stateroom. If you scheduled a tour with an outside company and need to get off quickly I would just head to (Deck A if I remember correctly) 10:45 to be sure. We did not require tender tickets, we just headed to deck when we wanted off. Our Cabo was messed up due to tropical storm so we ended up being there from like 7:30 a.m. to 2 pm. If in doubt just contact guest services or shore excursion desk the night before. Just make sure if you are doing outside tour set your watch to ship time. Like I mentioned I was all messed up on time because I never knew if phone updated automatically. We had two passengers that almost missed the boat coming back in. FTTF get first priority for tenders (that's why some people with suites still purchase FTTF). Not sure how the Platinum and Diamond work. It is after 12 that you can just walk off the ship for a tender from 10:45-12:00 you still need a tender ticket. Unless if you have an excursion with Carnival. Lil2Angelic Posted August 23, 2016 #54 Share Posted August 23, 2016 It does take quite awhile to get off the ship in Cabo unless you are Diamond, Platinum, have FTTF or have a Carnival excursion booked. Personally, I would not book an excursion in Cabo with an independent or outside company unless it's completely refundable. dabear99211 Posted August 24, 2016 #57 Share Posted August 24, 2016 Just got off this cruise today. I don't believe they serve food. At least I didn't see a food menu (and I looked in both pubs). But, the taste bar is right outside and I also believe people have ordered room service from there. The room service is fantastic! The fries, chicken wings, and pizza especially! The pizza is HUGE for $5. If you are looking for frills, this cruise will disappoint. This cruise ship is all about the service, and how the employees make you feel like family! It rubs off on to the passengers and soon everyone is one big happy family. I have never experienced anything like it before on any cruise. Some people didn't like this ship and I found myself getting offended because they were essentially talking about my "family"! The Carnival employees on this ship are VERY happy, they are not overworked and they love their Captain! He makes sure EVERYONE that works on his ship gets some time off. Even the food service employees were happy (and that is one tough job!). Enjoy your cruise! We sure did! The crew may love their Captain, but he has nothing to do with them, the Captain only is in charge of the movement of the ship and its officers. The Hotel Director is the number one person in charge of the department heads, re: Food Manager, Bar Manager, Housekeeping Manager and the rest of the departments, and they in turn manage those employees under them. Do they dump the water every day so they have to reheat each day? How rough do you think it needs to get before they close the area. I'm thinking of taking this cruise to the Mexican Riveria in Jan or Feb of next year. We got in line on the lido deck half an hour before they started handing out tender tickets in Cabo and we were in tender 3. Easy peasy.
