Best way to get from FLL airport to Port Everglades

Am I going to be able to get a cab this Saturday 10/29 from FLL airport to Port Everglades??? I see the long gas lines on tv...and wonder if the taxis are able to get fuel?

How far a drive is it???

If no cabs available, any recommendations on a private service? Will just be the 2 of us....don't want to pay for a stretch limo!

if you used a TA, call the TA and ask about "adding the bus transfer from the airport to the pier" - if you did the booking yourself, call the cruiseline and ask them about the bus transfer. it's not a far trip - taxi or bus are affordable....bus w/the cruiseline is probably the most reliable for now, but good luck getting in touch w/the cruiseline, etc. as everyone is on overload w/WILMA-related issues....g'luck!

10 min. MAX. You could throw a rock from the airport fence over the port fence. Obviously taking the roads is a little longer. I highly doubt you will have trouble finding a cab to the port. The major reason for the long lines at the gas stations is lack of electricity. If the area around the airport and port facilities has electricity restored, the gas stations should also.

Taxis and shuttles vans are all operating. You do not want to book a transfer from FLL to Port Everglades, the airport and port are adjacent - 5-10 minutes from terminal to terminal. There will be no problem getting a taxi.

 

Power is slowly coming back across the area, and FPL has made gas stations a priority - More are opening every day.
