Soda Card and Poker Questions--Pride

Hello,

DH and I are sailing on the 11/6 Pride (first time Carnival cruisers) and after reading these boards for the last month, still have two questions:

Is the soda card just for soda, or is it for juices too? I'm still not sure whether juices are free or are extra $$ if not served in the dining room.. do they have cranberry, pineapple, etc. or just O.J.? (If you can't already tell, I'm thinking along the lines of mixed drinks--just need to know what I'll be able to mix w/ my smuggled rum and vodka! :-) Is the price for the soda card around $35?

Also, does the casino have Texas Hold Em poker? DH wants to play!!

Thanks!

7 day cruise a soda card is closer to 45.00 its for soda and juice at the bars. You can get OJ, apple juice , tomato juice for free from room service all day. OJ and apple juice in the buffet in the morning only. THe rest of the day the OJ and apple juice are replaced by Lemondade and frruitpunch. Iced tea is available 24 hours a day

Hope you get this message in time.

I was on the 10/23-30 sailing and played Texas Hold Em every night. It's 4/8 limit but still lots of fun.

Please have your husband ask David from Australia (the main poker dealer/supervisor) if he ever got Cher's gold glitter off the table.

Once your husband meets Alina, he'll be playing every night. Warn him that Alina's engaged to a Transylvanian Pit Boss.

Best hints after playing for a week ... #1 just pay the 120 for the tournament*, #2 realize that this is not no-limit and your strategy has to change.

Cher

I lost 8 satelite tournaments at 20 each and still had to pay the 120. And all the practice wasn't a big help because I still went into panic mode when I was in fifth place and ended up out of the money. But my goodness, I still had a ball!
