Just wanted to pass on some info, in case it will help anyone. For those who have mobility aids installed in their car, the port at Ft Lauderdale now offers free parking. This does NOT apply to placards, just disability equipment like hand controls. We are excited to take advantage of this in March!!!!

All the Florida ports have free parking if your vehicle has modifications I found this out last December when we took our first cruise that left out of Miami. Took a cruise out of Tampa in Feb. with free parking. I have hand controls and a ramp van so we were eligible for the free parking.

Also available in Miami. I have a scooter lift on the back of my car and got the free parking. When you return from your cruise go to your vehicle and when you go to the pay booth you have to tell them and they fill out some paperwork. People behind you will be aggravated because they are slow. Just a warning.
