I have read through all the post here and on the main board, looked at the pictures and trolled the internet for information; I have even been on a live chat with Oscor from Dolphin Discovery. Basically:

• The RCI docks were heavily damaged but not destroyed and should be fixable.

• Chankanaab is completely destroyed. This seemed to be based on only one report.

• The dolphins and personal are ok; I heard this strait from Oscor.

• Much of the town is damage and there is no power currently, but the port will be open Nov. 14th

Have I got all of this right? We are going to wait and see and call back in early December before making any decision on if we should ask for a refund. We would ask right now if there was another dolphin encounter in one of the ports that we will visit (Key West, Costa Maya and Grand Caymen) By the way our hotel in FL is closed and Key West is also under water but they should be up and running.

So is there anything else I need to know?

…..and oh by the way they will not be “substituting” ports as quickly as people think, a captive audience for a sea day with drinks and casinos there dumb not stupid.
