Epic B2B what to expect on turn around day?

Hi all,

What is the process on turn around day for a B2B cruise out of Florida to the Caribbean?

Thanks in advance!

You will receive notice of the process in your room a few days before.

I suggest you go down to reception and pick up new room keys at least the day before disembarkation to avoid the crowds lining up and questioning their on board accts.

This is providing your keeping the same cabin for both legs.

You should be escorted off the ship with others and held in a secure area till ship is cleared and they may bring a customs agent in to verify. The process could take 20 min. to an hour.

Thanks! So we will need new room keys even if staying in the same cabin?

You will need a new card since it's only coded for the week. If you're interested in getting a Posh pass you can do this the first morning of the second week, before everyone else boards. I did this on the Epic last year (when they were still being sold at guest services). Also, double check with guest services, but when I did the B2B and stayed in the same cabin, I was told I didn't have to attend the second week's muster drill since the info was the same as the week before. I would have had to attend the second week's drill if my cabin changed.

I did a b2b on the Getaway last December and was required to do both muster drills and I had the same cabin.

You will be given a letter mid week outlining the procedure, place and time to meet to be escorted off and back on. If I remember correctly I had to take the cruise contract for the next cruise and my passport with me. The passenger count on the ship has to go done to zero before you are allowed back. Should not take very long to complete the process. You are given a sticker like a name tag that says "In Transit".

Thank you all for your responses! I believe the cruise I am looking at is set up as a 13 day cruise, but it is also being sold as a 7 day and a 6 day cruise. I would book it as a 13 day cruise. Does that make a difference with having to get a new card since we would book for the same cabin?

Thanks so much!

You might want to consider 2 cruises for several reasons. If you are Platinum you will get all the benefits twice. You can also use a Next Cruise on each cruise, saving a few dollars. Sometimes the separate cruises are actually priced a few dollars less than the combined cruise. We have saved hundreds of dollars plus double benefits by booking separate cruises in the same cabin. Worth checking out.

Just checked the NCL website site.12/10/16 cruise for 7 days priced at $699 and 6 days from 12/17 to 12/23 priced at $599 for inside cabins for a total of $1,298 for 13 days. The 13 day cruise starts inside cabins at $1,799, $501 more than the separate cruises.
