Guarantee Question...

We booked a guarantee for a little cruise in January...

My question... When does Celebrity assign rooms to those who booked Guaranttes? Do they do it prior to sailing or at check-in? Also, if they do it prior to sailing do they update the online information?

Generally I have found that they let you know several weeks before check-in

We've done guarantees a couple of times...

They usually assign them just after the final payment date...although that is not set in stone...

You can find out after it's been done by going online and logging in to your online cruise doc section using your booking number, last name and cruise date...

If you check your online documentation and immigration paperwork, you may be able to see if you've been assigned but not notified yet.

We booked a guarantee for the end of February. When I checked our on-line info - clicking on 'customize', our rooms had been assigned by the beginning of September. That was 6 months before the actual cruise. Now, I can't say that will really be our cabins, or if they may get changed. We look at it as - for the time you actually spend in the cabins, I really don't care where I sleep. The only time we loved being in our cabin was when we could get an FV. We had a corner cabin and a beautifl balcony.

We already have our room #for our Dec 12th cruise on the Mercury.Its an upgrade but I dont know how much of one. We are at the very front of the ship on the Vista deck.....Doesnt matter well have fun no matter what.......Good luck.I found out on the web site posted the day after we booked paid in full same day........

We were there on the Summit. No problem. We felt a little more movement, but nothing we couldn't handle. And it was nice and quiet. Enjoy your cruise!

Our rooms were assigned about 2 weeks prior to the trip (but we booked only about 4 weeks prior). Booked an inside guarantee (cat 12) and were assigned an outside (cat 5).
