Starwood Hotels & Resorts said five of its South Florida properties are open, including the Sheraton Yankee Trader and The Atlantic in Fort Lauderdale. It said the 998-room Westin Diplomat Resort, the largest hotel in Broward County, would reopen Saturday, the Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek and the Westin Fort Lauderdale on Oct. 31, and the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport on Nov. 1. It said the Sheraton Yankee Clipper in Fort Lauderdale remains closed due to storm damage and scheduled remodeling.
