I am getting ready to book a cruise with a $800 deposit for Sept. 2017.

In case I have to cancel before final payment, will Carnival give me a cash refund?

I'm hearing mixed stories. Please let me know if you have ever received a cash refund.

Only way to guarantee a cash refund is to book Past Guest if you are eligible. If you book early saver you don't get money refund you get a credit for future use in the next 2 years less the penalty fee for cancelation. Strictly depends on which rate you are booking under and the terms and conditions of that rate. Read everything very good!!
