Sofitel Miami a good choice?

Anyone have any good advice regarding the Sofitel? Most of the hotels I wanted are booked solid for that night or the prices are extremely high!! So I just booked Sofitel two days ago for one post cruise night on December 10 so we dont have to go home right away. How is the food there? We just want a nice place to relax before we HAVE to come home...

Should the taxi fare be the same as port to airport cost?

My friends are staying at this hotel the night before our Thanksgiving cruise on the Navigator. We won't be home until November 26 but I will try and remember to come back to see if you still need feedback. AAA rates this hotel **** so I hope they made a good choice.

I haven't been in Sofitel in a long time, but it wasn't a bad place last time I was.

Thanks for the information and would appreciate any info you can find out. I think we will be there by noon or so on Saturday and fly out the next day....am more interested in what the food is like and if there is anything near by within walking distance. We will be at the hotel for approximately 20 hours total. thanks again

It's been 2 yrs since we stayed at Sofitel but the food was great and the reason that we went there 2 years in a row.
