swerdjr Posted August 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2016 We just booked our first NCL cruise with a Mini Suite and was looking for feedback on the room and balcony. We have sailed many times on Celebrity Concierge Class and love the room and balcony. Thanks for any feedback!
KatEnz Posted August 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2016 Sailing NCL for the first time in November and we also booked a mini-suite. From what I understand, it is basically a balcony room with a nicer bathroom. Also the balcony is pretty small unless you booked and paid for a larger balcony. Here is a you tube video I found of the room:
roger001 Posted August 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2016 Unlike the small ships' minis, the Getaway class minis are just slightly bigger than a balcony room, but with a bigger bathroom. And the actual balconies on the Getaway, while adequate, are not very big. The exception is the deck 8 minis. They have very large balconies. MikeBTN Posted September 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2016 I would save the cash and switch your room to a balcony, unless a double sink is important to you. Balcony & mini-suites are virtually identical - same size living/sleeping quarters and balcony. The exception would be the aft-facing and "large balcony" subcategories. coolcruiser86 Posted September 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 12, 2016 Are the balconies on the "bump" rooms any bigger? We are scheduled for a mini suite in a bump room on deck 11. Thanks for the insight! :D

Thanks for the insight! :D Which mini-suite are you in? I don't see any mini-suites that are with an angled balcony on deck 11.

We are in room 11828 which appears to be on the bumped out section. Am I wrong on that? Thanks!
Two Wheels Only Posted September 12, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 12, 2016 We are in room 11828 which appears to be on the bumped out section. Am I wrong on that? 11828 is a standard sized balcony. The balconies that are bigger on 11 (side) are the ones that are at the point of "bumping out" (triangles on the deck plan) like 11840 which isn't a mini-suite.
