outtabux Posted August 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2016 I booked back in June and got 3rd and 4th guest, UBP and the photo package and arcade credit. Now my cruise fare has dropped $400 and they say I will lose my arcade credit and photo package if I want to take the price drop. Is this what everyone else has experienced? Is there a way to just do a price reduction without cancelling and rebooking and losing my promos?
eatdrinkfly Posted August 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2016 if you cancel and rebook at a lower rate, then you have to take the current promos with the current rate. so yes, will lose any promos that are not still applicable.
eatdrinkfly Posted August 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2016 however, one way around it is to just upgrade into a higher category instead of taking the $ back. then you can keep your promos as booked and still benefit from a lowered fare. Yes, but you'll get the current promos (unless you're after final payment) - which I assume you would choose 3rd & 4th free & free UBP. Given that its $400 cheaper, you'll still come out slightly ahead than keeping your current price w/ the arcade & photo promos.

Does anyone know where this is in their terms? Thinking of booking an inside now on any cruise to lock in the service charge promo, then upgrading to a balcony later on whatever cruise I decide to go on. Guessing that won't work because the upgrade would have to be on the same cruise. Edited September 15, 2016 by hawkman402
