Bottomless Bubbles... Again

Curious, when I purchase the bottomless bubbles and they attach a sticker to my sail and sign, do they scan the card every time I get a soda or just look to see if I have the sticker?

They scan the card, mostly to make sure that it is actually your card, and that the sticker is legit (my sticker for BB or Cheers usually lasts till I have been on the slide a couple of times). It's also to show the purchase to your S&S account (even though it is a $0.0 charge).

They scan it and make you sign a receipt even though it has a $0.00 balance. Probably because they want you to write in a tip in the space. I carry cash instead for that.

The scan is a function of inventory maintenance. Just like in a warehouse, production facility, retail store, the ship has to maintain inventories. This basically "checks" the item out of inventory.
