Tabaion Hot springs and arenal volcano

We will be on a Celebrity cruise in December and they offer the above shore excursion. Could you please tell us a little about it? are you able to swim in the pools and is there alot of walking involved?

You will find more info on the Costa Rica boards. The hot springs are a LONG drive from the pier. Do a web search and you will get all kinds of info on these places. My wife and I are on the Summit December 4th going through the canal and looked into this tour and decided it was way to much driving for us. Maybe 2 hours each way.
