calicruzr Posted October 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Went to Eastern Carribean last year and ruined my video camera! Anyone know how to prevent dew from accumulating in my new one I had to buy for next weeks cruise to Western Carribean? Help!!!!
serene56 Posted October 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2005 You get a very good sturdy insulated carry case. Keep the case wrapped in a towel in the lower part of the closest. The cabins are very cold and the outside is very warm. Taking a camera fromth inside to the outside quickly causes the condensation build up. cruise.freak Posted October 30, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2005 We just wrapped ours in a towel and it did fine.
MsBlue Posted October 30, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2005 I've had this happen. I have now learned (and it worked just fine on my last cruise) to wrap the camcorder in a handtowel, and put it back into it's case. I don't re-zip the case, and just leave it out on a table. JUST prior to leaving the cabin, take the camera out, and it should go through the gradual warming up process before you get up on deck.
