Quilting_Cruiser Posted August 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Yep. We're apparently a rather macabre family. Before going to Disneyland, we have been known to look at deaths that have occurred in the parks. Did the same with this site once prior to a cruise. If you saw us, you'd think we're pretty normal. But, apparently not.

Two Wheels Only Posted September 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2016 That site has been linked here on CC a few times. I think I was on the Carnival section when I saw it last. Sometimes, it's better to read about the subject than to be the subject.
triptolemus Posted September 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 1, 2016 The site is mentioned or people happen upon it organically every time some dumbass manages to "fall off" a ship...

triptolemus Posted September 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Doesn't have all deaths as last year I was on the Jade and there was a death. 1 death listed for 2015 related to the Jade. In November. The same time you were there! Edited September 1, 2016 by triptolemus
CRAustin Posted September 1, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2016 1 death listed for 2015 related to the Jade. In November. The same time you were there! That wasn't the date, it was a cruise employee found dead in his bed in his 20s.

davesgirl51 Posted September 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Doesn't have all deaths as last year I was on the Jade and there was a death. Missed one on the Sun too. Many many times, people choose to cruise if they feel they are about to die. I have already left instructions for me. 10th deck aft. NP. Not eerie. Just life ... You know ...taxes and death. kcwingwalker Posted September 1, 2016 #14 Share Posted September 1, 2016 The site has some errors that I'm aware of so there must be others. One 18 year old celebrating his graduation on the Carnival Fantasy did NOT commit suicide see http://www.amitetoday.com/remembering-bruce-okrepki Bruce and his siblings were classmates of my children. He was sitting on the rail and having a dispute regarding a young lady. A few punches were thrown and he lost his balance. The word from other students on board (not mine) was that more than beer was flowing and things had gotten out of hand. A tragic accident. I also know of a person who died of a pre-existing condition and no mention of him at all. So the site is somewhat interesting but not reliable.
