NOS- Gift Shop & Duty-Free Sales?

We will be looking for RCI t-shirts for souveniers. When is the best time to get this sort of stuff on sale from the gift shop? Also, do they have any sales from the duty free liquor shop?

The t-shirts in the gift shop usually have the same price on them throughout the cruise. However, late in the cruise (near the last day) they bring out tables of t-shirts, tank tops and polo shirts not previously in the store, at lower prices. If you're a Crown & Anchor member there is a 5% discount coupon in the Coupon booklet you'll receive, on all logo merchandise.

 

It's been my experience that the liquor prices remain the same throughout the cruise. It's a good idea to jot down prices of your favorites and then compare them to liquor stores on the islands you're visiting. If you see a better deal, buy it in port, but if the prices aren't better than save your liquor buying for the ship near the end of the cruise. The final night on the cruise can be crazy in the liquor store though.

As the previous poster said, towards the end of the cruise tables are put outside the shops an those items are discounted. Some alcohol is discounted also but not the premium stuff.

There were specials on liquor our whole week on Navigator and they changed by the day on some features so my advice would be that if you see something and the price is agreeable, buy it. Same with the souvenirs. They have sales in the promenade all the time but the stuff they're featuring will change.

Remember that C&A discount coupons cannot be used with sale logo merchandise.
