Online check in before final payment?

I was looking to my cruise and I realized that I can make the online check in now but final payment still weeks ago, is that something new? I think we had to do the final payment before we were able to check in but maybe I am wrong.

We used to be able to do online check-in as soon as the cruise was booked. Now it's limited to within 90 days before the cruise. Except for a few exceptions, you can only print the SetSail pass after the crusie is paid in full.

Bob I wish they would allow us to fill out our online check- in again as before. It was nice to have it done and behind us.
