leongcpa Posted September 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I'm thinking of going from Chania to Rethymnon (DIY). I'll be in port from 8am to 4pm. I found this public bus schedule for KTEL (http://rethymnon.com/TheBus-Bus-Service-Crete/timetabledet.php?line=1&lg=2). Has anyone tried using the public bus to go from Chania to Rethymnon? Is it reliable? Alternatively, has anyone tried renting a car in Chania? Have any recommendations? Lastly, I know some folks recommended Lefty for taxi service. Any idea what he (or his associates) might charge for a trip to Rethymnon and back? Thanks!
LondonTowner Posted September 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I have been to Crete a couple of times on land holidays and hired cars. Crete is a large island, the largest of the Greek islands. The last time were were there we hired the car through The Best car hire and were very satisfied with them. The interior of the island is very pretty and well worth a visit. Personally, I think Chania is nicer than Rethymnon.
