tapia Posted October 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Is bird island fabulous? I really love birds and would love to see the island. But, I'm basing a lot of my decisions on this. Should I be? Besides Elis and the Paddles, are there other tour options on the water? If not, what about on land?? I also really would like to see Devil's Bridge and other interesting sights.... I tried to book the seafaris and they are booked.

tapia Posted November 7, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted November 7, 2005 I read the thread........but, it doesn't say much about the actual island.... (are there birds there????...) Help?
OCruisers Posted November 8, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2005 Actually, tapia, the thread does discuss the "beach area" and snorkeling at Bird Island. No mention of birds because there really aren't any more than you'll find elsewhere .... The big thing at Bird Island is to climb up to "the point" and see the Atlantic meet the Caribbean. Really, you do see the color of the water change. Happy Sailing! OCruisers :)

mushroom Posted November 18, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Frigits...lots of frigits on Bird Island. At the top, you can only walk so far before your are cut off...it's a frigit sanctuary. Eli took us there on the Eco tour. Be prepared for a bit of a climb to the top - the view is worth it.
