Pearls of the Splendor Dining

This will be our first time sailing on the ship that has two dining rooms- the Gold Pearl and the Black Pearl. I was wondering if one is specifically for the traditional dining times and the other YTD?

 

If you do YTD and can choose either...which would you choose and why?

 

I ask b/c we are considering YTD (as a family of 3) and interested in knowing this info in advance. Thank you!!

Someone had posted a Fun Times on the Splendor board for his cruise. In it, it stated Black Pearl was for You Time dining and Gold Pearl was for scheduled dining.

Been on it twice in the last year. Both times we had YTD and it was in the dining room right off the lobby.

The dining room in the back of the boat was for set time dining.

You will be assigned a dining room regardless of YTD or traditional dining. The mid ship dining room is the Black Pearl and is used for YTD and The Gold Pearl for traditional dining as well as for Breakfast and Brunch.

 

I enjoyed the Splendor very much but I do hope you like pink.

Thank you all for sharing your knowledge!! I didn't know how that all worked and now I do.

 

We are still trying to figure out if we will do our normal "Early Traditional Dining" or if we will try the "YTD".
