Cruise Cash and VIFP #

Two questions I was hoping the experts could help me with :D

 

1. Is cruise cash refundable if you have to cancel the cruise? We got insurance because there is a slim possibility we would have to cancel if the stars align just right. But, I'd really like to pre-pay our sign & sail. Everything I see says non-refundable if you don't use it all on the cruise, but what if you don't even get on the ship?

 

2. We didn't book through Carnival this time, so our VIFP # isn't showing up on our cruise details tab. Will this affect our VIFP status? I'd really like our 2 free bottles of water, since it's the only perk we get!

 

As a side note, I really wish Carnival had an email form to ask questions not covered in the FAQs. I don't think these questions warrant a phone call, and I don't want to be on hold for hours, either.

1. Yes, if you cancel your cruise, the Cruise Cash is fully refundable.

 

2. The agency you booked your cruise with should apply your VIFP number to your booking. This takes 2 minutes of their time.
