mocrimlaw Posted September 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2016 We are going to be on the 8/9 cruise on the Norwegian Jade leaving from Southampton and going to Stavanger, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Flam, Alesund, Haugesund and Oslo. Any thoughts on which side of the ship would be better for this itinerary? Thanks!
GLYNAGP Posted September 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2016 We've cruises Iceland and Norway and to be honest either side is good we found what you missed going into the Fjord you saw leaving the fjord. The scenery is stunning.
Rare BirdTravels Posted September 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2016 A very serious answer is forward. 180 degree views from a forward facing cabin is stunning. Lacking a forward facing cabin, an aft facing caving affords similar views.
mocrimlaw Posted September 12, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted September 12, 2016 I am a little worried about the forward or aft cabins - aren't they much more prone to making you seasick? I would hate to spend more money for a suite forward or aft and then be sick. I do wear a patch which generally works for me.
Studebaker59 Posted September 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 12, 2016 We sailed Norway on the Norwegian Star in June, 2015. I agree that either side is fine. The ship goes into the fjord. Later, it goes out. That's why either side works well.
