Speed of getting off Divina in San Juan

We are looking at a private El Yunque rainforest tour when we are in San Juan. The tour co we are looking at have said they are picking up some other people at the ship at 9am.

We don't according to our itinerary actually dock until 9am. Would I be correct in assuming the first people they will allow off will be people taking their own MSC tours?

Is it actually feasible we could get off at 9. Anyone any advice?

I would never agree to a pick up time that is at the same time the ship is to port - I always push it back 30 minutes or so - Just make sure that the tour company is going to wait for you a little bit if you are trying to get off at 9 am - I have not been on this particular boat before on other boats people have been able to walk off the boat and people on tours have usually gone out another direction they simply don't have to wait in the line to get off the boat as they are walked past everyone if there is only one excit

We did the rain forest tour last year as an MSC excursion. Very enjoyable.

That said, if the ship actually docks at 9, it will take at least 30-40 minutes for tying it down, putting out the stairs, welcome mats, ground staff ready, bureaucracy, etc. Then it's true the MSC excursion passengers go out first as well as Yacht Club guests and those disembarking the cruise at San Juan.

The private tour organizers know all this so you and everyone else in your group will be getting off at more or less the same time.
