Reef Shoes required??

Are reef shoes required on the beaches of St Croix?? I am used to wearing them in the South Pacific due to the coral and just wondering if I need to pack them.

My understanding is that the beaches in the Caribbean are all different and the water socks come in handy almost everywhere!

Thanks LHC....I am en route to the USVI's as I am currently on the Windsurf 14 day Transatlantic. I packed the reef shoes so I am all set!

Hello Mapleleaf,

 

A lot of the beaches on St. Croix are sandy but there are a few that reef shoes would be good, so its a good thing to pack. Also you might need on another island. There is a St. Croix Beach Guide at http://www.*****/stcroix/beaches_stx/ with pictures and descriptions.
