EmmasNana Posted September 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Does the Spelndor have a Cherry on Top store where you can purchase alcohol and gift cards?
chocolate melting cake Posted September 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2016 The Cherry on Top is strictly candy and treats. They do have another store for booze and postcards, etc.
EmmasNana Posted September 17, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted September 17, 2016 I am talking about the store where you can purchase a bottle of liquor to drink on the ship rather than purchasing from Bon Voyage prior to sailing.
ChicoCA Posted September 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2016 I am talking about the store where you can purchase a bottle of liquor to drink on the ship rather than purchasing from Bon Voyage prior to sailing. You are talking about room service then.
EmmasNana Posted September 17, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted September 17, 2016 While it is true you can order liquor from room service, prior to my last cruise I was told by Carnival I could purchase through a store. It is also the place you can purchase wine packages...not the table they set up. I have read somewhere...I will do a search.
originalgeek Posted September 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Perhaps they meant the online store? You can pre-order alcohol for your room through the Fun shops at Carnival's site. It will be there when you board.

You'll get a coupons to exchange for bottles of wine at bars or in the MDR.
maldenmusic Posted September 18, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Every time we have bought alcohol in the shops onboard, they kept it and you had to pick it up the morning of debarkation.
Wave61 Posted September 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Both the Ecstacy and Fantasy have other things besides candy and such. I bought a cruise memories photo album there. I noticed a refrigerated display with roses, wine and cakes that you could buy.
EmmasNana Posted September 18, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Okay, so I believe this is the deal. If your ship has a formalities shop (if not it is the candy store) you can purchase cakes, wine package or a bottle of alcohol to be drunk in your room or balcony. maldenmusic, the bottle of alcohol I am talking about is 3 or 4 times the cost of those in the shop you are talking about (that are held for you). What I am asking about are the bottles you can purchase either prior to the cruise online, through room service or the formalities/candy shop. So here is why I want to know about the bottle and gift cards. I am planning ahead for the potential full transit Panama Canal cruise. This cruise will be our 25th or more and we will use it as our milestone cruise. Since we would get 25% back in OBC along with $200 for Future cruise and $200 for shareholder benefit, we would likely have some OBC we can't use up so will purchase a gift card to use that up. We don't go in the casino so don't want to do that scenario. Now the booze. On a cruise that long it seems appropriate to get a bottle of something along with a wine package or two. Now if they would just open up that rumored cruise I would be good to go!:)
