FLL Crowne Plaza Airport & Cruise??

Has anyone ever stayed at the crowne plaza hotel?

 

I've seen some discouraging reviews recently but also some stellar ones.

I hope it's good. We're booked there for the first time this January! I like the fact that Hertz is right underneath the hotel. Not much in the way of dining or shopping in the vicinity, but hopefully the hotel will be nice.

There is a ton of dining and shopping in the vicinity.

 

I actually met the owner of this hotel and her husband the other day.

 

This hotel is running a 90% occupancy rate for the year.

Really? Google maps doesn't show much within walking distance. Lester's Diner, Kiki's in the building, Anthony's pizza. What else would you recommend?

We also thought of booking this hotel but it doesn't appear to have a lot of stuff within walking distance

This is all that was close by when we stayed there, unless you wanted to take a long hike or taxi.

We stayed here in the fall 2015 and found that it was nice. Would def stay here again! It has a roof top pool which is pretty and there is a restaurant up there as well. We didn't want to do too fancy of lunch or breakfast eats so we walked to the Denny's a few blocks away and there is a McDonalds down the road a bit in the opposite direction. The front staff were wonderful and gave us a map and directions and also called a cab for us when we wanted to venture further.

 

I know they also have a shuttle so this was a huge perk for us as we didn't want to bother with a cab from the Airport to the hotel.
