The Upgrade Fairy Called...Meh?

We (me + wife) are currently booked in an Ocean Suite on Carnival Pride for the 23 October Eastern Caribbean sailing. Got a call today from Carnival proposing to upgrade us up to a Grand Suite for $600 total. If I booked the Grand Suite today it would be a $1300 (approx.) difference from what I paid for my current booking (It's not a question of affordability - I can, but should I?). I know what a Grand Suite provides as compared to an Ocean Suite, and I know that there are no extra perks that comes with that size suite vice an OS. So my question is for anyone who has cruised in these suites on Pride (or any other Spirit class ship): did you feel it was worth it? Leaning towards calling back with a "No" but I'm looking for any opinions.

Concur, but I fly more than I cruise so I guess I think in that terminology.

He, he, yeah, I understand!

I'd take a pass, it's not even an up sell, its a rip off!

Who cares what you can afford, look for value. I know about this- I once spent $5000 to upgrade airfare for a Med cruise. $8000 for a six night, 2 cabin TA on QE2, and I was no where close to being in a suite!

Save your money.
