Ecstasy....just back

Well the cruise I have been so worried about turned out to be great. My DH just knew from the bad reviews that we were going to have a horrible time but it was pleasantly the exact opposite. We had an accessible cabin E71 just off the atrium and it was a great location. Music was a little loud later at night but it didn't bother us. Did not have one bad meal. Crew were very friendly and always helpful. Casino was pretty good to us. Entertainment was enjoyable. I really do not understand all the negative comments I have read about this ship. We hope to go again on her.

Evidence that this is why you pay only passing attention to poor reviews. Sometimes it is best not to read them at all!

Does anyone have any suggestions of what hotels to stay at to park for the duration of the cruise in Charleston? I'd rather not park at the port.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn 301 Savannah Highway. They have a park and cruise package.

We have gone out of Charleston 3 times already and always park at the port. So far never a problem.:D

I personally, have never had a "less than GREAT" cruise aboard "Ecstasy". Great little ship, with very good food, excellent service, and fantastic shows and entertainment. Fear not!

We were also on this cruise with you. This was our first time cruising CCL. Ship was great, staff was great, food was very good also. We were also worried about ship after reading some of the reviews prior to sailing, They were way off, we could not have been any happier with our cruise. Would recommend this ship and carnival to anyone.

Love the Fantasy class ships:) Have sailed the Ecstasy once out of Galveston...dh has not been on her...hoping to do one out of Charleston next year...think a favorite bar waiter we have not seen in years is now on her:):):) Would dearly love to see him again!

We stayed at the springhill suites in Mt. Pleasent. It is a new hotel and much cheaper than staying in charleston. You could see the ship from the hotel across the harbor. We took Lyft to and from which was cheaper than a shuttle. Left our car in the parking garage under the hotel and it was good.

Just curious -- when was your last cruise on a newer Carnival ship and what ship was it?

We will be staying in Mt pleasant at the Best Western at the end of the month. Hoping it goes smooth...several people on here recommended it.
