Just got off the ALLURE on 9-25, GREAT SHIP but a warning to all DO NOT GO TO THE PHOHIBITION PARTY ( a charge of $35pp ) it was the WORST party we have ever been to. We walked out after 45min. the manager stopped us & asked why we were leaving we told him in one word "BORING" he took our cabin # & said we would get our money back, as he was talking to us 8 more people walked out & he went over to them & asked the same question & got the same ans. Save your money & stay away from this show.

We went to this on the 9/11 sailing. Several people walked out as well and they refunded our money. The food and beverage manager also caught up with us the next day and we had a long conversation about it. It was a horrible experience. We went on the Oasis last year and had a great time, that's why we booked it.

We are not planning to do the party on our Oct 30 Allure cruise, but can you give more information? What were you expecting and what did you get instead?

To us the hosts acted like they had never done any of this before. The band didn't play music from the era. Just mostly sitting and listening to the band. Host kept saying Mr. Gold would show up throughout the night. At the very end of the night Mr. Gold showed up and paraded around with the lady that won the costume contest. That was the big lead up??? and the night was over. On previous parties, they at least got the guests involved, they would give everyone dance lessons etc and had a men's and women's costume contest. This one they just picked a young lady out and gave her a bottle of wine and said she won. No dance lessons, nothing. We would have had more fun sitting at Bolero's watching people dance. It was basically sitting and listening to a band play music from the 40's and 50's not the 20's.

Wow, so much different that on the Oasis two years ago. The MC was hyper energy and she got everybody sucked in. The music was most of the era with a little newer stuff mixed in.

We had plenty of activities that got people on the dance floor and they gave away a bunch of SWAG.

Funny, how things change when the staff changes.

Doing the Allure in 31 days and was considering it again. But maybe not!!

Us too, that's why we talked our friends into the one on the Allure. What confuses me is that they have had so many people walk out. Why hasn't someone on the management team sat in on it and experienced it so they have a better understanding.
