gam888 Posted October 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2016 We are considering sailing on NCL Spirit in February to the Mediterranean. We like to do some ballroom or other club dancing in the evening. Just wondering how many live bands are on the ship, do they play good dancing music. Is there another lounge that has a DJ playing contemporary music? How is the food, service, and other activities? What type of daytime activities are offered during sea days. Are there a lot of children on the cruise? Last time we sailed on the Epic there were quite a few kids running around on the dance floor. I read that the Spirit is an older ship and has smaller cabins, but in general well maintained? Any info on the ship is welcome. Thanks.
CruisinMaterial Posted October 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2016 The Spirit has the best interior decor in the fleet! Her bathrooms were a little dated when I sailed on her last but she's a fine ship. As for nightlife, there's usually a band in the upper atrium playing. There's the main show lounge aft but the primary dance venue is forward at Maharini's. Earlier in the evening it's more something for everyone crowd but really flips to a disco later on in the evening. There's a disco and lounge area. It's my favorite place on the Spirit as it's got so many different places to sit for large and small groups! You'll find the crew usually hanging out there in one of the corners sometimes. Enjoy your cruise! :)

There were several areas with dancing on the Spirit- the crowds depended on what music was playing. I remember lots of live music and a dj as well- you will have a blast! :)
