Alaska cruises and pools

Are the pools open on the Alaska cruises? Do people swim on these cruises or is it too cold?

Yes, the pools are open. The pools on all DCL ships are heated. Whether they are warm enough to swim is obviously a personal decision.

 

We swam on a Celebrity Alaska cruise. Unless you are adults alone, don't plan on swimming on a DCL cruise. The best you can do in the family area is bob in the water.

We cruised to Alaska June 20 on Disney. My grandsons swam in the pools--they loved it. It was too cool for me--and overcast. But the weather can vary. The pools were not crowded, but they were open.
