Keukenhof near Amsterdam

We'll be in Amsterdam for a few days in May pre-cruise and are considering visiting Keukenhof. How much time does it take to walk through the gardens? Can we spend 1/2 day there or does it take up a full day? Besides looking at the gardens, what other activities are there? Is there a restaurant on the grounds?

We visited last year and enjoyed it very much. You can go at your own pace but a half day is doable. There are places to eat throughout the gardens. And of course a gift shop[emoji1]. There will be lots of people as it is only open a short period of time each year and very popular. Once you get away from the entrance the crowd will thin out as you wander through. Don't miss the windmill and current flower mosaic. It was Vincent Van Gogh when we were there. Beautiful.

Easy to do yourself. In season there will be buses from the airport to Keukenhof. More on this website: http://www.keukenhof.nl/en/discover-the-park/open-2017/

You will need at least a half day. Dependsing the state of blooming (which depend on warm or chilly weather in spring) you might also rent a bike and see the fields.
