I do know the difference between up sell and upgrade but sometimes I guess you get excited and use the wrong term...maybe we can say we got a discounted upgrade lol

I see you on the boards often. I have never been in a balcony before, what tips do you have?

 

What is the best way to keep the balcony door open?

 

I use a chair to keep the door open. I like the sound of the ocean and never have noticed a problem with humidity or air conditioning. The only time I shut it is if I am not in the cabin or going to open the front cabin door--that creates a whirlwind in the cabin.

 

Also, upgrade/upsell--get a life people---upgrade does not mean free--use whatever term you want and happy sailing :)

For my first cruise in 20 something years, my partner got the call a week before. We were supposed to be in an inside cabin within the bowels of the ship. Imagine my surprise when I saw the balcony.

 

Yes, the room was over a night club but I didn't care because hello? balcony.

 

Since then I've been on more cruises and will never sail without a balcony cabin again. Now, I just pay attention to location to avoid loud music blaring in the middle of the night.

I would be excited about that upgrade/upsell too!! Very reasonable cost, and I hope you enjoy it.

 

I would love a call for our upcoming cruise, for an aft balcony stateroom but I am doubtful it will happen.
