OntarioTraveller Posted October 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2016 (edited) We are looking to buy a day pass to the Melia in a few weeks. I read on this forum that the price went up to $45??? This seem very expensive for what you get? Junkanoo beach is our next option but gets bad reviews. A pass seems to be available online ahead of time for $35 but as it is rainy season (an understatement this week!) we would rather pay when we got there. Has anyone done this? Also, any recent feedback? Are chairs in the shade hard to get? Thanks! Edited October 6, 2016 by OntarioTraveller
OntarioTraveller Posted October 11, 2016 Author #2 Share Posted October 11, 2016 Checked today on the Book a Tour site and it looks like the price of a day pass to the Melia is now $45, no food options included, no water sports, just chairs and towels and use of the beach and pool. A little too expensive for what you get. Will have to look for other options!
downundermatt Posted October 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2016 We too prefer the Melia Caribbeandaypass.com have the Melia at $50. For $70 you get lunch and non motorised water sports. For $95you get the buffet and non motorised water sports. nassauparadiseisland.com has Melia at $35 but no link to book. With the recent hurricanes I am a bit nervous to book now in case the weather is bad next month. Assume they will keep the deposit (there are five of us)
tjmaher Posted October 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2016 We booked this a while back. Day was $35 and we only gave a $7 deposit and need to pay the difference when we arrive ($28) Hope the don't try charge me the $45. I wouldn't have paid that much to get nothing. TravelGal22 Posted October 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2016 I contacted them and they don't offer food or drink packages. Just $45 to use pool and beach. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
downundermatt Posted October 19, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2016 Has anyone used Caribbeandaypass.com as they still seem to have the two lunch options ?? Just wondering if the sight is legitimate ??
MFScruise Posted February 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Question for those of you that have gone to Melia for the day. I understand that food and drinks are not included. Are there affordable food/drink options there?

Are there affordable food/drink options there? I'd say no, but the daiquiri shack is across the street, fresh delicious drinks there! https://m.facebook.com/pages/Daiquiri-Shack/111316098977394
