When to upgrade

I probably won't upgrade my room b/c it is close to my parents room. And they can not upgrade because wheelchairs rooms sold out a year before sailing. But if I can can get a really great price I might be willing to move away from their room. Final payment is 2 months before sailing. Would you upgrade right after final payment or just before sailing? I was thinking if you upgrade right after paid in full then you might be paying more than if you waited a few weeks. On the other hand the rooms might be gone because you waited. My cruise is not til early spring but I like to be over prepared. Tia.

Not only are there few cabins left late, but prices will likely not be better to upgrade. Since you said the final payment is only 2 months out, that is a short sailing - you might have a bit more wiggle room on those. Upgrade when it makes sense financially, regardless of timing.
