Group of 14 Miami to Ft Lauderdale Airport - Late Flight - What to do?

We have a group of 14 cruising out of Miami in March 2017. We arrive back to port in Miami and fly out of Ft. Lauderdale but our flight is not until the evening. If we use the cruise transfers, they take us to the airport, and we can't check in our luggage at the airport until 4 hours prior to our flight and we have about 7 hours to waste until our flight. I would rather spend the day at the beach, but don't want to pay for transfers from Miami to the FLL airport then get another transportation company to take us from the airport to the beach. Anyone recommend a company in that area that can pick up 14 to 16 people at port of Miami, take us to the beach, then pick us up several hours later to get to the Ft Lauderdale airport? Or any other suggestions you may have would be appreciated.

Why not arrange for shuttle to pick you up in Miami and drop you off a hotel on the beach in Fort Lauderdale . Also look for a hotel on the beach that can accommodate the 14 people for the day. Then have a shuttle take you to FLL airport.
