Watching movies in cabins on Amsterdam

Wondering if anyone knows if there is a movie channel on the in-room TVs and also whether one can borrow movies for free like on the Noordam. I do know that there are movies in the Wajang theatre.

I was on the Amsterdam a few weeks ago....

• Yes there is a movie channel.... but it's limited.
  
• there's a DVD player in the room. I usually bring my own. Haven't research the borrow option.
  
• Wajang was playing "Civil War" during the debate.

Yes, there is a listing of dvd movies you can borrow like on the Noordam (no charge). :)

 

Movies played in the theatre are usually replayed on the TV the next day as well (until the interactive TV's get installed).

The Amsterdam has a booklet of DVD's you can obtain from the front desk which were free as of April.

 

Their movie channel usually plays the movie shown the day before in the Wajang theater at different times during the day.

We were on the Amsterdam this past summer. In our cabin we had a booklet with movies available for check-out. There were hundreds of titles listed.

Just call the phone number made available, and the movie is soon delivered to your room.

I think I remember that you can only check out one title at a time.

Note that none of the DVDs available for checkout are particularly 'current', though, so if you have some favorites you can bring along, you might want to consider that.

If you have access to Amazon Prime Video you can download movies and tv shows to your iPad or iPhone before you leave home. You have to be the one who pays for the Amazon Prime, tho, not one of the four people you can share the free shipping with.

Does anyone know if the movie selections shown on board change every month.. If so do you know what's playing in October?

 

I really would love to see "Sully" but probably have to wait till we get home to see it..Asked a Friend if she would go to see it with me, but better yet would like to rent it & watch it at home with DH & our Friends if it's not shown on board..
