Put in the amount of the non-refundable costs you want to be re-imbursed for in the event you have to cancel.

That would be the base cruise fare and any penalties that may be associated with a cancellation.

Government fees and taxes are automatically refunded. As are any PPGs, shore excursions or drink packages.

The cruise is free on a BB offer, There is no non refundable amount.

Unless there is some surprise penalty.

We only paid port taxes.

I was told once when booking a BB offer that the cancellation penalty would be the full value of the cruise. I would call them to double check

Wonder if they send you a bill?

Yes, they will. They have your credit card, don't they? If you have to cancel for some reason, you will have to pay the full value of the cruise to reimburse the Casino.

You got the cruise practically free, pay for the insurance of the full value.

I have had 3 BB offers and have paid for the insurance on each one. Still a cheap cruise.

I understand what you are saying

What fare do you choose to base the value?

ES, Past Guest, ETC.

When is the rate calculated? At the time of purchase or at the time of cancellation?

If it's at time of cancellation we have no idea what that amount will be. It could be a lot more $

If it was time of purchase how do you know how much that is. I have no receipt.

Personally I always opt for the cruise line sponsored insurance when working through a casino for their offers. I'm getting it in the least for the trip cancellation/delay and baggage coverage. With most cruise lines it's $49 per passenger and not dependent of age for the medical portion.

Over the past few years I've unfortunately had to cancel both a casino BB and a Premier cruise after booking. Both bookings were $0 except taxes/port fees. In neither case did I purchase insurance. In both cases I received a full refund of taxes/port fees an was not charged penalty.

Does your account online not show what the cruise is charged out as? Mine have always has a dollar amount shown as what the cruise is worth to the casino, even though I did not pay that much and it is shown as Paid in Full.

Call Carnival with your booking number and ask if there is any penalty for cancelling your Bounce Back cruise. If yes, use that amount for the insurance. If no, the just put $5 or some small amount like $100.

I've done this on any Comp cruises I've had.

All the other benefits of the trip insurance such as the medical and trip delay and baggage coverage have nothing to do with the price of the cruise.

If there is no penalty, than don't buy insurance. You wouldn't need it.
