debster11 Posted October 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2016 I am in the middle of a divorce and will be changing my name back to my maiden name. This may be a dumb question, but will I be charged a $50 change fee for this?
springs741 Posted October 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2016 Not likely. If you have a good PVP or TA you should have no problems changing the name. If you are dealing with a CSR at Carnival and they say yes, just call again. Just wanted to throw out there, just be sure everything (booking name/ Drivers license and passport) does have the same name. Sounds like you are thinking ahead to make sure. tropicaledrink Posted October 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2016 Are you booked under an Early Saver rate?
Woodfaerie Posted October 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2016 I changed my name after I booked. I called Carnival direct and didn't even have to fax or mail proof. Easy peasy, as it should be. They told me it would take up to a week. It showed up on my account 3 days later. No fee.
vwrestler171 Posted October 17, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2016 As long as it is just you, there should not be any issues. The name changes they are talking about is changing guests.

Exactly as vwrestler stated-- you might want to ask them for a "name correction" when you talk to them. Might sound stupid but I work for an airline and for us a correction is handled very differently than a name change-- change usually means a different person. I do name corrections all the time for people without charge.
