Checking water at Port Canaveral

I am sailing on the Freedom on Sunday and would like to bring a case of water. Three years ago when checking luggage we were told we had to carry it on. That was a pain because the rooms were not open yet. Has anyone been able to check water lately directly to the cabins?

I believe the rule is that water still has to be carried on.

 

We sail from PC a lot and haven't seen anyone checking cases of water.

 

Why not buy the coke package at about $6 a day and have unlimited water, power AIDS, coke etc?

Thanks for the info. We don't drink soda- only water. Just wanted to have it for the convenience. We will be in Florida for a few days before and need to return the rental car early to avoid another days charge.
