Fastest GTY Cabin Assignment EVER!!!!!!!

A X guarantee never has perks included ever, or so I thought. I still call my TA and check whenever I find a deal to good to be true and I get let down. The DW asks why I torture myself. I'm not cheap, I'm just Frugal. Well this morning on my TA's Website is a ad for the Oasis for Dec 4th, ocean balcony guarantee. So I call, and to my great great surprise, there are PERKS. I got Free Gratuitys, $200 obc and a specialty dinner. I'm in a bit of shock, and feel a bit like a thief (in a good way). I booked over the Phone at 10am. Finished some email paperwork with the TA by 10:30am, Logged on to RCCL at 10:45 and filled out the paperwork, printed my docs and luggage tags with my CABIN NUMBER (D6 BALCONY OCEANVIEW ON THE HUMP MIDSHIP DECK 10) all by 11:00am. I know things might change, but I'm excited, printed luggage tags and all.

I upgraded to a JS guarantee this week for a cruise the same week you are going and I was also impressed.

 

I upgraded on Tuesday night and had an assignment Wednesday by lunch and was able to change to a more desirable room in the same category.

 

First experience with a GTY but I would definitely do it again.

That's a fantastic week to cruise. It's the down-time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of the cheapest weeks out there. Nice score!
