First timer with RCI

Sailing on Adventurer of the Seas April 2006, first time with RCI, all previous cruises with Princess. Anybody out there cruised with both companies, any advice on which is the best. Any info on RCI would be most helpful, especially on the Adventurer of the Seas.

I have. They are very similar. The food on Princess was better (although Portofino and Chops are so outstanding that they blow the food I had on Princess off the map) and the entertainment was better on RCI. Other than that the experience was almost interchangeable. Same demographic, similar levels of formality, same type of activities. I know there are loyalists on both sides of the fence here but truly I am equally enchanted.

 

I now sail RCI almost exclusivly but that is because my two favorites depart my favorite initial port. No other reason. Well that and my desire to be Diamond by age 50.

All I can say is just wait until you step onto the Royal Promenade for the first time. I have not done Princess yet but I know you will never see anything like a Voyager class ship anywhere else.
