Has anyone received an upsell offer from Balcony to Vista or SS on Koningsdam sailing from Rome on Oct 24/16

I have seen that there are quite a lot of cabins still unsold - so it might be a chance that you will be upgraded yet. You could also ask for an upsell at embarkation. I saw quite a lot of oceanviews still open for sale as well as balcony guarantees, whereas the following cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean are sold out.

I asked about an upsell from my inside to an outside or verandah, but the price was quite expensive - it was still the booked rate on my on-line agency's website.

Realizing that there were a number of unsold cabins in most categories, I, too asked for an upgrade, but was quoted the rack rate, which also was quite expensive.

Due to guarantees, it is sometimes hard to tell how many cabins are still available. They still should be offering upsells by now though!

Even at the current rates offered, the balcony cabin guarantees (cat. VD, for example) are quite low - same rate as oceanviews.

Or you still might be lucky at embarkation which is only a few days away. It never hurts to ask!
