Casino-Free at Sea/upgrade/upsell

If you book your cabin through the casino, do you get the Free at Sea offers that goes with the inside cabin from the casino promotion or do you get the Free at Sea promotions that go with the cabin you upgrade to? Are you eligible for an upsell or upgrade and does that go through the casino or the ship's reservation system?

You get Free at Sea offer that goes with cabin category you are comped. Get a free inside, upgrade to balcony, only one promo chioce. Upgrade to Haven and you get all promos.

 

In the past, you could call upsell department. That should still apply for all ships other than Breakaway and Escape (upgrade bidding only - must receive email to initiate upsell). Have heard conflicting info on whether CAS cabins are eligible for new upsell bidding, maybe someone else has answers...

We are booked with CAS for week after next. Comped a balcony, paid a little extra at booking for mini suite, got the upgrade advantage email last week, no answer on our offer yet.

If you book your cabin through CAS, and pay to upgrade, you get the Free at Sea offers that go with your comp type. UNLESS you pay to upgrade to a suite - then you'll get all of the Free at Sea offers. I called CAS to book the Breakaway to Bermuda next year, was offered a comped inside, and paid to upgrade to an aft balcony at that time - all I got was the Free at Sea promo for the inside. A few months later, I called back and paid to upgrade to a Haven suite instead. I've got all of the offers now. Like I said, only good on full suites though. :)

Its the Getaway & the Escape that have the bidding system. The Breakway is still by phone to the normal upsell #.
