Stores around port canaveral

We are staying at the country inn and suites in port canaveral and looking for a stores close by.....we won't have a car as we are getting a shuttle from the airport but wondering how close any stores are. Maybe taxi or uber? (We are from NY and don't have uber so not sure how that works or if expensive)

If you just need a few things the closest will be a Race Track service station. It is just below the hotel (within walking distance)

 

Some of the local folks will have to give you an idea of the closest grocery store, but I am sure you would have to take a taxi to get there.

There is a Publix a few miles down the road in Cocoa Beach. Uber would be very cheap and easy to get to/from. Just download the app before you get here. You may wait an extra few minutes sometimes compared to maybe a bigger city but there's still a fair enough amount of drivers.

 

Publix sells wine as well if you're picking up any, otherwise you can get soda packs at Race Trac.

You might also ask the hotel shuttle driver. If allowed by the hotel manager, he probably would be happy to make a few extra bucks taking you to Publix in off hours.
