HOW FAR and HOW MUCH???

We are looking to fly into San Juan in October 2006, and are wondering how far the cruise terminal (Adventure of the Seas) is from the airport?

How much should we expect cab fare to run? Can anyone recomend a hotel (we're on a budget). The flights don't get in until late evening so we don't need anything fancy, just a safe, clean place to sleep for 1 night.

Pier is probably 15-20 min cab ride away (tops). You will see the ships as you are landing at the airport. Once you get luggage, you go outside and there is a stand. You tell them how many people and they give you a quote. I believe we had 6 or 8 people from our group in our taxi van and the total for the cab was $40 or something like that. On the way to airport from pier, we had time to kill and driver took us to the rum factory and airport for less than $20 per person.

Thank you CMU. Do you have any hotel recomendations for San Juan? The flights don't get in until late evening so we just need a clean, affordable(<$150.00 per night), safe place to spend 1 night, hopefully located either near the airport or Pan American pier.
