Any incentive to book another cruise on NCL while on board?

Hi All! I searched this subject but found older threads that may not be the most up to date info.

My DH and I cruise together about once a year, and always buy future cruise certificates, we love the savings and knowing we are going again...:)

My question is, Is there any discount or advantage to BOOKING your next cruise while on board? I did read once that someone got 30% off their next cruise...anyone have any experience with this?

Looking at a 10 Day in January on NCL GEM, love that ship!

Appreciate any help!

We were on the Jade at the end of September and booked our next cruise on the Spirit while on the Jade. The advantage to booking on the ship that we received was that we selected a room at the uppermost level of the room type we wanted, but paid for the lowest level.

We booked an inside, and we got the highest level inside but paid for the cheapest inside level. I believe we saved $70/person for a total of $140 savings. Not a lot, but it was something.
