Rare lazydayz Posted October 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2016 Hubby and I are on this cruise as well. Interested to see if the Ultras are worth it for us. Will report back, probably in the cruise conversation link noted above.

Rare lazydayz Posted October 30, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 30, 2016 Carnival has at least three levels of special cruises for gamblers. The entry level is the Premier, followed by the Ultra Premier, then the Elite. Premiers can be quite large, while Ultras are supposedly limited to 50-60 people per cruise. On all of these, you get a welcome cocktail party, free drinks in the casino, goodies in your cabin, and are guaranteed to win a gift. Plus there are multiple opportunities to win special contests in the casino that are limited to this invited group. I have been on cruises that were Premier but I was not part of the group. I enjoyed the casino less on these as I was not eligible for many casino promotions. Since the Ultra and Elite cruises are more limited, they may not negatively impact others as much.
