Has anyone taken the Vung Tau excursion?

Have not taken the Princess tour to Vung Tau but have done one privately thru Smile Tours which was excellent.

This year we took the ships shuttle to Baria and then took a private taxi to Vung Tau and it was the worst decision we have made, as you really need a tour or a local. Hope this helps.

The last time I took a Vung Tau "excursion" was when I was with the 25th Infantry in Vietnam. It was a major operations area for the Australian troops and an in-country R&R center for US soldiers and marines.

 

Beautiful beach! And probably a lot more fun now! Would love to go back some day.
